Re: DKR Live~! #13 - Nov 19th @ 9pm GMT - PREVIEW « Result #1 Today at 2:46pm »
I don't think anyone was asking you to do two things at once, but I think most people were a bit mystified at a show with two hosts being cancelled because only one of them wasn't able to do it. That said, if this is how it will be then so be it, onwards to the next DKR. Good luck with your show.
So leave the memories alone I don't want to see The way it is, as to how it used to be Leave the memories alone, don't change a thing And I'll hold you here in my memory

Re: WWE: TLC Discussion Thread « Result #2 Today at 12:30pm »
Sheamus is getting a world title shot? Um, ok... I know we all generally like to see the younger guys get pushed, but this is a bit much. He's been on Raw for what, a month? Personally I need a bit more than a couple of Jamie Noble squash matches to get me excited about a title contender. Maybe if they weren't so inconsistent with Swagger he'd be a better proposition; he's worked well with Cena in the past too.
Jerishow vs DX in a TLC should be a good match, and I'm interested to see how Show and Triple H will interact with ladders (was his last ladder match against the Rock all those years ago?).
Can't believe there is no DKR next week just because Jeremy is busy. I seriously doubt any professional shows would do that... Isn't there some other way of doing a show?
Even if there's no way to do a live stream, isn't there a way to do a recorded show like a regular podcast?
In short no. There is no way we can record another show to air/release on Thursday. I genuinely have almost no free time this week. I've got a very important show that I have a large role in being put on by my university, which amounts to virtually my entire mark for my third semester. (About 85% of my final mark for this semester is judged on my performance in this show.)
I've been called for rehearsals that are between 12-14 hours each over Monday and Tuesday, and then on Wednesday, it's our first show, but before we get to that, we're having up to 2 dress rehearsals to do. Then on Thursday, I've got a lecture in the morning, and then we're being called in during the afternoon to have another dress rehearsal and to work on any scenes that need working on which will then lead to our second performance that evening.
On Friday, I've got be at Uni from 9am for various classes and then another possible rehearsal which will then lead onto our third performance that evening. Then on Saturday, we have to perform our final 2 shows which leads us to getting out all the lights, scenery and whatnot over Saturday night and all day Sunday.
So, as you can tell, (as I said on the show this past Thursday,) I genuinely have little, or no free time to do the show whatsoever. (Any free time I do have will be resting and sleeping at the rate I'm going.) In terms of recording a podcast, we still need the time to actually record it, which there won't be time for.
Martyn and I really wanted to bring you a new show during this coming week, but it hasn't come to be for all the reasons stated above. I didn't think this would be a problem given that this will be the first week since DKR started in January of 2008 that we haven't been able bring you new content during a week. (Keep in mind, when we took a two week break in July, we were able to make time to record two extra shows to be released during that time, 'Monday Night Wars' & 'Casual Conversartions'.) Obviously I was wrong. I will say however, that it really means a lot to me you guys want a new show that badly this week, but I would have thought that a little compassion could have been granted on this occasion given the reason it's happening.
To answer the question of how we could another show, we did investigate the concept of Martyn being able to do the show himself amongst other ideas, but we decided it wouldn't be a viable option and that it would be far less stress to postpone the show on Thursday (26th November) for both myself (amongst the huge workload I have this week) and Martyn.
I hope this answers the questions above. I personally don't think I needed to justify myself as much as I have done above, but I have done so just to clear the air. Besides, nearly of all of the shows we've produced since March of 2008 can be found at DropkickRadio.com ,you could always listen to an older show on Thursday!

WWE Superstars starts in the U.K. on 12/11 in a 5 p.m. time slot. While no announcement has been made, it appears WWE and Sky have renewed their deal because WWE programming is listed for January and the last contract expired at the end of the year.
The WWE Tribute to the Troops special is scheduled for 2 a.m. on 12/20 for one hour in the U.K.

Well, it was only a matter of time before the show which actually has no meaning or purpose reaches these shores. Good for those who actually have time to watch it. (i.e. not me)
