I suppose everyone can use this for SVR discussion.
I play PS3. I'm going to use this thread to write a play-through.

RTWM Shawn Michaels
[spoiler]I've just got done playing it so might not touch on anything. For all the other RTWMs I'll wite these as I play. My initial thought is how many f**king 2 on 1 scenarios do I have to play in? Overall the HBK story is pretty good and I saw CM Punk somehow turning on me but I put on my DX attire on the off chance Triple H would come and save the day at WrestleMania. Sadly he didn't so I was in a one on one Retirement match. Which is pretty much an I Quit match. CM Punk comes to the ring and beats the shit out of HBK with JBL. I'm playing this on normal mode and they were reversing all my offence and just continually beating me down. So I'm guessing the story doesn't have an option where HBK wins. That's a shame if true because I'd have liked to have an option for JBL to retire.

(Quick Edit: The DX attire I was talking about was a green superstar threads thing I'd done. You actually unlock the DX attire on completing HBK RTWM. [/spoiler]

RTWM Edge
[spoiler]Just started RTWM with Edge. So far had one match. It was against Triple H and because I won I was allowed to have a meeting with Vince McMahon about being the new GM of Smackdown. He was in his office, wearing a suit, lifting weights. Awesome. Apparently Maria is my combination of Vickie Guerrero and Lita. So she's the new GM of Smackdown. So now my next match is a fatal four way with Kozlov, Kennedy and Jesse. I have an optional goal to hit my finisher on all competitors. I hit my finisher on all of them but after wearing them all down, Kozlov being the sneaky bastard that he is got the pin on Jesse. Then in my second attempt I decided to abandon the optional goal and just focus on one guy. I kicked the shit out of Jesse, then got thrown out the ring by Kozlov, he followed me outside and we brawled, Kennedy made Jesse sumbit.
3rd time lucky but didn't complete the optional goal. I only managed to hit my finisher on Jesse and Kozlov (who I then pinned).
Backstage with Maria. I get to choose an opponent from the fatal four way to wrestle one on one. Mr. Kennedy wrestles the other. It looks like I'm kicking the shit out of Jesse to leave him with Kozlov. Edge's running spear is an awesome move. Beat Jesse in a little over a minute. Piece of piss.
The next match is a tag match: Edge and Khali vs Jesse and Primo. Edge started in the ring so i ran across and speared Jesse. I then whipped him to my turnbuckle and performed a double team move. The Great Khali, did a SUNSET f**kING FLIP over the top rope. Pretty easy win, shame that Khali has a moveset far greater than his real life one.
So It's the Royal Rumble. Maria has took the liberty of drawing numbers for Smackdown Superstars already. She gives Kennedy, Finlay and Edge their numbers. Edge has number 30. So should be an easy win for me then. It looks like I've got to watch it from the beginning, so I'm typing this as the match has started. Scrap that, I'm entering. Kennedy, Chavo, Mark Henry, Kane, Ezekiel Jackson and myself were the last in the ring. Before the match it said that if Kennedy was still in the ring I should eliminate him, so I did. Then went on to win the match. Because I eliminated Kennedy I've unlocked the alternate outfit for Mr. Kennedy.
Smackdown after the Royal Rumble Mr. Kennedy is having a pregnant dog in the ring because I'm awesome and won the Royal Rumble. Out comes Maria and says that I will wrestle Kennedy in a tag match. Back in the locker room I get a voicemail from Maria saying I can pick mine and Mr. Kennedy's partners for the match.
I've picked Matt Hardy for my partner and Dolph Ziggler as Kennedy's.
When Hardy is in the ring and you go for a double team move, one of the options is Poetry in Motion which looked pretty cool. Needless to say, I won.
Maria is now giving me a match where I can face anyone on the roster. I never knew it was so cool to be the bad guy. Just as I try to exit the locker room a message pops up to say I should try and end the match in 3 minutes (did somebody say, 3 minutes? ;)) I quite fancy beating up R-Truth. See you in 3. I kept restarting the match with 10 seconds to go. it was harder than I thought it'd be. In the end I took it to the outside, beat him up on the outside of the ring. Waited till the ref counted to 9, clothelined R-Truth then slid into the ring just before the ref said 10. And because of this, I've unlocked Edge's alternate attire.
Kennedy vs Edge. Maria is in the ring saying she wants to reward the Smackdown fans. She's leaving the ring, Edge attacks Kennedy who flies into Maria. Edge rolls up Kennedy and gets the 3, but Kennedy atacks Edge,. Now it's just a fight until the show goes off the air.
The next cut scene is Maria in hospital bed and Edge worms his way to being her temporary replacement. Mr. Kennedy cashed in his MITB on Big Show to become the new champion.
I'm in the GM room as opposed to the locker room now. I call Kennedy and tell him Big Show is invoking his rematch clause tonight and I'm the special referee. As I exit the room I get a message, "I want Kennedy to stay champ, but I also want to punish him. The best thing to do would be to let Big Show beat on him for a while, then take out both of them and drag Kennedy on top of Big Show for the 3-count." Sounds like a plan. And my reward for completing that goal is Locker room brawl. Fantastic.
Up next we see Edge being the f**king player that he is getting a massage from Maryse and some other random bint that I'm not sure the name of. Then he tells them they have a match against each other for some one on one time with the boss. Now I've booked myself on a three on one match against Kennedy (my partners are Jericho and CM Punk), I have an optional goal of being the person that pins Kennedy. I didn't get a reward for that, so it could have been a mandatory goal.
Maria's back and Kennedy tells her of Edge's sleazy escapades. She makes a handicap match, Edge vs Undertaker and Kane. So I take Kane to the outside and beat him up till the nine count, then slide back in before he says ten. I hate handicap matches.
My Kennedy has been given permission from Maria to pick Edge's match tonight. Goal before I leave the locker room: put someone through an announce table. I've actually been trying this since I got the game and haven't figured it out yet. Should be fun. It's pretty easy, X to clear the monitors, get momentum meter full, throw opponent (Triple H) towards table, climb on and do an impactful move like a DDT. Because I put Triple H through announce table I've unlocked Vince McMahon. Great Success.
Big Show's left me a voice mail because I screwed him at No Way out. Apparently I won't be walking out of the arena tonight, its a tables match. OK. Finally beat him after him reversing a lot of my offense. Kennedy's out with Maria. She tells Edge that his title match at Wrestlemania won't be easy. Kennedy looks up and the steel cage comes down. Maria leaves as Edge slides in. Kennedy and Edge fight till the show goes off the air. The next show is WRESTLEMANIA.
In the locker room there is a voicemail saying that Maria is going to watch the match very closely.
The match starts and Kennedy is pretty much reversing all the offence I attempt. So i think something is going to happen so far into the match and they don't want me to end it early. Maria comes to the ring. Finally I can get some offence in. I lay Kennedy out and start climbing the cage but Maria opens the door. It's a race. Kennedy gets near the door as Edge is at the top of the cage, she slams it in his face. Edge drops down to become the new WWE champion and I unlock THE ROCK.

Is the game worth checking out. I know Martyn said it's worth trying out. But if it's just the story aspects that are different/updated, I'm not sure if I'll like it as the control system the past few years has pissed me off.

From what I remember of 09 the control system is similar if not the same. But being able to download user created content like storylines and created Superstars means that the game has a longer life than usual.

i just finished all the rtwm, really enjoyed it tbh. i made a few superstar threads for cena (green wristbands) and punk (pink) etc... i will try apost some picks of them soon.

I started the Orton RTWM and the match with Kane (I think) is fucking solid. You have to beat him in less than three minutes. I even knocked the ref out and kicked the fuck out of him with a chair and a sledgehammer and he still kicked out after I punted him in his head. What a bastard.

i found that hardest timed match was the match u have with Randy orton on HBK's RTWM when JBL intrupts the match after 2 minuites , i hit orton with everything for 2 minuites and hit him with SCM but he kept kicking out and then JBL intrupts.... i did it in the end tho with 10secs of the time left

btw i have ps3 but svr2010 is on my xbox....ps3 addy is LFCDALE... feel free 2 add

All this talk about this game is making me want to play the game, lol.
Still haven't got any time to buy it and play it, but hopefully before the end of the year.

Question for everyone, how long are the RTWM storylines. i.e. are they very long, or can you get through them in say a couple of hours each?

If you complete all the goals first time they aren't very long. But I'm still stuck on the Orton match I mentioned earlier and have no idea how to complete the goal. So it's lasting a while. I suppose it just depends how good you actually are at the game.
